bad at posting

Ok, so I know that I have been terrible at updating my blog, but it seems that every time I get on the computer with some time (usually before bed and when studying is eluding my brain activity), I get to chatting with Jen or shopping on the internet for comfy pj's for Xander. Needless to say, nothing ever gets "blogged". But, some people have mentioned that they have no idea what is going on in our lives because I have been such a slacker so I am going to try a quick update.
School: We finished Pulmonary and have begun Infectious Disease (very time consuming ), we are learning more and more about our clinical rotations that begin in Aug of 06, but we still haven't learned enough to really know what is going on :)

Mark: Just got a sizeable raise for doing great work-we were all very proud of him! Couldn't come at a better time! He had the flu last week (or maybe it was that frozen pizza??) but was successful at not sharing it with the rest of us! He is looking forward to going hunting with his dad over Thanksgiving weekend (yuck!)

Other: My grandpa just had knee replacement surgery yesterday and came through it with flying colors-now for the fun recovery period! Grandma said (and I quote) "all of grandpa's nurses think he is so cute-he has them snowed!" hilarious! So, our thoughts are with them as they begin this long recovery process. We have been getting ready for Christmas-by starting to think up some ideas for gifts and writing our "list" for Santa Claus.
Xander: is growing like a weed!! He is going to be a skunk for Halloween (I will be sure to post some photos later). He loves the costume and seems to know that he is "dressed up"...he likes to look at himself in the mirror when we "practice" wearing it. The cutest part is the tail that drags on the ground when he walks and kind of sways from side to side as his little baby butt wiggles-it is hilarious! He had his 15mth doctor appt. today and is 27lbs and 32inches tall (both 80th percentile), his head however is 19.75inches which is the 100th percentile!! He gets it honestly! He is talking up a storm, but only 1/20 words is recognizable! He is addicted to apples and asks for them from sun up to sun down...he has been waking up earlier and earlier EVERY day! So, since this weekend is "fall back" for daylight savings, we are trying to keep him up later each evening to help-but so far no luck! :) We are in the process of weaning him from his bottle-so we have a lot of whiny periods that would normally be soothed by a "ba-ba". He is starting to ask for it so we just ignore it :) He is still allowed to have 2/day-naptime and bedtime. He is very into books and wants to read a lot-so that makes me happy. Ok, so there is much more, but this is getting TOO long...so if any of you are still reading, here are some pics to make sticking around worthwhile!

I love to read!

Quit taking my picture!

More reading... do crocodiles moo??

Just watchin' some tv.. Where did he learn to be so lazy?? :)

In case you are wondering, Xander likes to not wear clothes-he is always taking them off!
