current events

So what have we been up to?? Too much to mention! The summer is just going too fast! Although everyday that passes is one more closer to me being a salaried employee instead of free labor! :) For father's day Mark chose to go swimming and then out for chilli dogs (blah!) and to the Go-Karts!! He and Xander had a good time

And Avery had her first taste of ice cream!

YUM! but watch out when you take it away from her...you'd of thought we had pinched her :) A girl after my own heart! After looking at the pictures, I realized we had accidentally color coordinated her first ice cream! Xander started swimming lessons-kind of funny stuff. He wasn't scared necessarily of the swimming part but more of the other kids screeching at the top of their lungs!
notice the cutie next to him having a melt down! The teacher told the parents to dunk the kids under the water and Xander proceeded to climb his daddy's neck until he was as high as he could go! :) But by the end he had mellowed out and was enjoying himself! Here is his blurry "pose"!


Avery put on her swimsuit too-for the first time-except it barely fit! It is 6-9mths size but I think it was mislabeled b/c she is fitting really well into all of the other Carter's 6-9mth stuff. Anyway, we hurried and got a couple shots of her in it and then decided to put it in the "donate to baby Reagan" bag!


I know what you are thinking..."holy thighs!" She is the most adorable, squishy little thing, isn't she? By the way, Reagan, what do you think of your new get up?? :)
Speaking of Avery, she has been growing into a little person more and more every day! Her personality is starting to really show! For instance she LOVES squash and says "mmm, mmm" while eating the entire jar ! Here is one of her HUGE foot that she just can't seem to keep out of her mouth!

Xander and his daddy built a real birdhouse (which later mommy helped him paint it-I'll get a picture of the completed project another time) Xander loved making it and was so proud of it! He is waiting now for the birdies to make their home there!

Here is a not-so-flattering shot of me and Avery snuggling on the couch! She is so loveable and I just wanted to capture this moment on film since Xander wasn't really this way as a baby. It feels so nice to snuggle with your kids! Awww...
One of the two kiddos together! They sure do love each other! It is amazing and so heartwarming to see them interact. Avery just lights up around Xander and thinks he is a comedian! He can get her cracking up like no one else! I can't wait to watch them grow up together!

Xander has totally figured out how to drive this thing-only took a whole year!
