I have been so terrible at updating my blog lately, there probably isn't even anyone who still checks to see if I've updated anymore, but I figured just in case I will update while I have a chance.
******************New Baby***********************
We had our 20week ultrasound and found out that our new baby is healthy and everything appears to be normal, however, the baby was being kind of stubborn and the technician wasn't able to get a few of the important pictures so we have scheduled another u/s for the end of august to get those last few shots. The exciting part of the ultrasound revealed that Xander is going to have a baby SISTER!!! Yeah!! My instincts were right and we will be naming her Avery Ryan. I am so excited to have a girl and can't wait to see what she looks like! She is getting very strong little muscles because her kicks are getting harder and harder every day. I had forgotten what it felt like to have your insides kicked around unpredictably and at all hours of the day. She is different from Xander though b/c she seems to be awake mostly during the day whereas he was always kicking as the night wore on! Maybe that is a good sign about her temperment! :)
***********************Finally******************************
Pharmacy school classes have officially ended and now we have begun our rotations, (AKA 8 months of free labor!!) It is the weirdest feeling going to work everyday and doing all the same work that everyone else in the pharmacy is and then realizing that at the end of the week, they will all be getting a paycheck and you won't! Not only is there no pay, but technically we are paying them around 800$ or so per month! Pure craziness! I just keep telling myself that it will go by quickly! Plus, I get 4 months off when the baby is born so I am looking forward to that!
***********************Xander turns 2*************************
We had a big birthday party on July 30th for Xander's 2nd birthday! It was the HOTTEST day ever and the skies erupted with a quick shower in the middle of the party, but Xander had a great time! There were a lot of people and kids here and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves! Xander got lots of nice presents and has been playing with them everyday since. I made him a Dora cake and since there were so many people coming to the party, it was definitely a labor of love. While we were all singing Happy Birthday, there was this moment where I could tell he realized that we were all singing to him and he got this proud/excited look on his little face. It was so endearing and thank goodness I was behind the camera so I could hide my teary eyes. Then, later when he was eating the cake, he was so excited and really wolfing it down, he looked up at me and said "yummy cake mommy, yummy!" I about lost it again! It was so sweet! His poppa, mee-ma, and uncle wick got him a Ford battery operated truck...he was so funny, he climbed right in and started pushing the gas pedal. There were people everywhere watching him and being completely clueless of the steering wheel, he was running into people left and right! It was quite a performance!
***for those who are interested I am planning to add pictures to this post if blogger will ever let me so tune in for those cute shots and an ultrasound pic too!***
